Full time RV living, is it right for you? Living life as a full time RVer is definitely one of the most liberating lifestyles there is. It is a life of freedom, bottomless choices, and full of the thrill of never knowing where tomorrow will take you. It is the freedom of traveling where you have always wanted to go and seeing the places you have always wanted to see. There is nothing like having the freedom of waking up in the morning and while having breakfast, deciding where you are going to go and what you are going to do. If you find a place that you want to spend a few weeks exploring, why not, your home is right there with you. When it is time to move on, you just start your motor and take off to a new adventure. However, you must know that it is a lifestyle choice and not just an extended vacation. You must make sure you are committed before selling your house and most of your belongings and taking to the road.

One important aspect that some beginning full time RVers forgets to take into account is the non-stop time you will be spending with your significant other and the considerably closer quarters that time will be spent in. Do you think you and your spouse can live together 24/7 in 240 square feet of space? Starting a life as full time Rvers means two adjustments you and your spouse will have to make. You must not only adjust to living in a small space but also to living together constantly. If you both are not fully committed to your relationship and this lifestyle, you do not want to find it out it out after selling your house and driving half way across the nation. However, just a little knowledge, advice and planning can ease you into it all and make your full time RV dreams come true.

One piece of advice is to have a space that is yours, and only yours, no matter how small. Claim a cupboard or drawer that is yours or a certain place you like to sit in the evenings. Also, a separation of the bedroom and living room can create a sense of retreat for whoever needs a little more “space”. Having separate bedtimes on occasion can also give a sense of alone time, waking up at different times can also achieve that. Finding friends through RV clubs or interest groups can also break up all your time together and give some interaction with others.

Of course, the most important things in a marriage or relationship are communication skills and respect. Having good communication will eliminate any unnecessary stress and will always make your relationship a happy and healthy one. Being in such close quarters, it is important to communicate well and always be honest and respectful with each other. Compromise is your new best friend. On the bright side, most couples that take to the road become closer and better friends. So, if your partner is also your best friend, communication comes easily, and you wish to be able to spend more time with your loved one while going on adventures, what are you waiting for? It seems like this lifestyle is exactly what you are looking for.
