Anybody can design a website, but there are only a few design companies North East and in other regions that know how to come up with a compelling web design that would bind the visitors and convert them to buyers. Here are a few common mistakes that most of us enact while designing a website:
Lack of Planning
If you fail to have a proper strategy for designing a website, you will probably end up with a bad design. The design of the website should be made while keeping a target audience in mind. If you will be able to identify the demands of your target audience in the website design, it will be a big success.
Complex Designs
It is often seen that designers often opt for designs that are far more difficult to understand for their visitors. The website should be easy to navigate and it should make the visitors feel comfortable while they are browsing through it.
Lack of SEO
Search engine optimization is the most important method of getting your site on the top ten search engine results. If the website is not SEO friendly, it will fail to get any business for you.
Contradiction between the Theme and Design of the Website
Designing an eye-catching website doesn't serve the purpose. If the design of the site is contradictory to its theme, it is a big mistake. The look and feel of your company should be branded by the design of the website.
Non-Interactive Designs
It is necessary for your website design to be interactive. The design of the website should spell out your business idea and should convert visitors into customers. If the visitor will feel that the website is giving him the freedom to do whatever he wants to, he will be more than interested in the company.
Number of Clicks
One of the most common mistakes that web designers make is that they don't pay attention to the number of clicks required for reaching a certain page. As a result, the visitor gets lost in the hierarchy and feels uncomfortable while browsing through the site.
High Scrolling Pages
Some of the website designers incorporate stale text that increases the length of the page and visitors loose interest in the too much scrolling process. The biggest disadvantage of having a long page is that the visitor will have to scroll up and down numerous times if he is looking for particular information. It is better to keep a single concept per page to have a good website.
