Corporate awards can be in the form of a wall plaque or a typical pyramid trophy with a figure on top and columns in between the base and the top. These trophies normally have a square base made of wood or marble but occasionally plastic or metal. Woods used are most frequently pine or oak but may also be made of more exotic types of wood.
The columns which attach the base to the top platform which holds the figure are either made out of metal or plastic colored to look like metal. The top platform will most likely match the base and be made either of wood, in oak or pine, or marble. The figure itself, which sits on top of the trophy is made either of a gold or silver metal or a gold or silver colored plastic. Rarely, it is made of wood painted a silver or gold color.
At the base of corporate awards on the side of the piece of marble or wood base is a small metal or wood plaque with an appropriate engraving on it.
These Corporate awards may also be in the form of a wall plaque which is normally made either entirely out of wood or entirely out of plastic. The plaques are most often square or rectangular, but occasionally are round or other shapes according to the customer's wishes. Prices vary greatly regarding corporate awards but they are typically more expensive than most other types of awards and trophies. Price depends on what type of materials are used, whether they are made out of wood or plastic or marble or metal and how many pieces are in a particular piece. Some corporate awards are made up of almost a dozen pieces, for standing pieces and some are made of only one or two parts.
The assembly process is not complicated but is very time consuming. The base, the columns, the square “levels,” and the figures are all separate figures and are manufactured separately and painted separately either by hand or with an air brush. Some figures that sit on top of these corporate awards can be very detailed and some have very little detail and this, too affects the price.
Typically, corporate trophies and other types of trophies are held together with a cement glue, screws or wooden pegs depending on the size of the trophy and therefore the strength requirement. Corporate trophies and other types of trophies can be ornamented with colored glass or plastics or several different types of metals which give it a two tone or other many colored affect. The most common type of ornamentation is gold or silver brushed metal which adorn the wooden sides of the trophy.
