Other than that there are jumps in a rally race which are not present in a normal grand prix race. The cars which are used in a rally race are customized in a very different manner. They have broader types which have a higher durability temperature limit as well. Moreover, different types of wheels are chosen for better performance but most driver prefer HRE Wheels for their strength.
It is crucial to mention that rally cars are not fuel efficient at all. However in any race, fuel is not the area of concern as it is checked after certain duration in terms of laps. Rally racing is a global sport and numerous competitions which take place all over the world.
Speed management is the most important tasks which need to be fulfilled in the best possible manner in a rally race. The safety measures which are present in a rally race are less as compared to a normal race. A rally race is filled sudden turns which can harm the driver if he does not have proper control on the car. In some cases it is required that the car has to be turned without lessening the speed. This requires immense experience as turning a car on an uneven track without lessening the speed is a tough task after all.
The brakes which are installed in a rally car are better in terms of the timing which they carry. Rally car brakes are fully applied in a much lesser duration as compared to a normal grand prix car. The drivers are given much more protection as compared to a grand prix driver. This is because the accident rate in grand prix races is much less as compared to a rally race.
In a rally race the rate of predictability is lesser as compared to a grand prix race. Getting used to a rally race requires much more time as compared to other forms of race. Time management is also very important in a rally race as well. The race laps have to be managed according to the turns and jumps which are present in a rally race track. The rally races which take place in South America have venues through the woods. These tracks are quite hard race on. Dirt rally races are the ones in which the drivers have to race through muddy tracks. In such races the drivers have to be very attentive to maintain the vision.
