Blogging is a relatively new concept which has originated since the inception of the Internet. Basically, blogging is an informal speech with the freedom to express personal ideas and thoughts using internet as a prime medium. People who write blogs are known as bloggers. Professional bloggers have created a niche in Journalism with its own medium of communication. Like Journalism, bloggers write everything from personal diaries, travel tales to news reports and product reviews.
Most recent trends in blogging involve the use of video and pictures, a concept which has given rise to video blogging. It should be noted that blogging is synonymous with writing but it is in fact a much more informal style of writing. The popularity of blogging stemmed from its freedom of choice. Unlike, Journalism where most bloggers are restricted by particular guidelines, in blogging, the writer uses whatever style they prefer. Furthermore, Internet has provided bloggers a medium to express their views without being dictated on the style of writing. According to the Wired Magazine there were approximately seventy seven million readers of Internet blogs in United States alone which further its claim to one of the most dynamic medium of communications. Just like the Internet, Blogging is emerging as the most liked medium.
