Self Publishing Articles
1: Taming The Book Proposal
Oh, that most maddening of documents! For so many of us eager to move forward with our nonfiction projects, it looms large like a guard at the queen’s castle, blocking the path to publication. Its perfection eludes us yet it stands there teasing, “Complete me, or your manuscript will never see the light of day, mwahahahaha!”
2: Everyday Creativity for you
Do you tell yourself that you are not a creative person because you can't draw or play an instrument or write poetry? I often hear many of my clients bemoan, "I'm not creative!"
This isn't true! We all have the ability to be creative - it is a God-given gift - but you might not be noticing or enjoying your particular form of creativity. It's important that you become aware of which forms of creativity are fun and fulfilling for you, because expressing your creativity is a powerful way of feeling filled up and joyful within.
Creativity naturally pours out of my three-year old grandson, as it does out of all little children who are given the opportunity to express it. When I was spending time with him recently, he was playing with a children's microscope that has little slides with various bugs and other little creatures that he can slide in. He slid in a little shrimp and then starting running around the room saying, "Grandma, the shrimp is in the heater! Get it out!"

3: Kicking Negativity…`
"Luck is what happens when preparation meets opportunity." --Seneca, Roman philosopher, mid-1st century AD
Whoa! Things seem to be in a state of flux at this moment in history, don't they? Just turn on CNN and you'll see how topsy turvy things are with doomsday and apocalypse on the horizon. It's enough to turn even the most well adjusted, reasonable person into a confused, pissed off obsessive ready to jump off a bridge. I say, keep your rudder in the water and make life work.

4: How to Face Failure & Rejection?
Jennie was tall, slim, good-looking, had lovely, long hair and was articulate and charming. So I just could not understand it when she withdrew from a beauty pageant being organised by our club. It was a contest I thought she would win hands down.
"Because I may not win," she said when I asked her why, she was withdrawing. "I just couldn't face that failure, that rejection."
I was taken aback. Had she not heard the proverb about failure being the stepping stone to success? And why had she used the word rejection?
"Failure means rejection. For instance, if a participant isn't crowned beauty queen, it means that the judges have rejected that person," she explained. "And rejection is far too painful to tolerate!

5: Scare Me, I Love It! Or The Misadventures Of The One In The Land Of Many-Colored-Coatings
I have been watching with great interest for quite a while many news events and reports, press comments, and internet newsgroups' opinions. Lots of information, and much learning. I have tried in the remote Influencing course to explain the ABC on the light/sound language of Creation. For it is the sounds of vibratory light that gives birth to our illusory world and its manifold stories to choose from and energize in our own consensus bubbles of virtual reality worlds that either intersect in groupings of like-minded harmonious (love) symphonies (Oneness), or resonates to destructive dissonant fear-emotions showing the desire to separate from one's own reflections (the ones across) and experience paranoia/hatred.
6: Cooking For Pleasure With A Slow Cooker…
When life presents many challenges the desire to control can seem natural. There is the illusion that if we control events, ourselves and others, we will be safe, successful and secure. Unfortunately, the opposite is true. The tighter we grip, hold on and manipulate, the more out of control we become.
Especially in relationships, where people feel vulnerable, where emotions are high and a great deal is at stake, the wish to control arises. At first this may appear as possessiveness, wanting to know all about what the partner is doing, dictating what he/she can or cannot do. Possessive often intensifies. Power struggles erupt. There is the sense that the person belongs to you and you have the right to direct their choices and the way their life goes.

8: How Hardback Book Binding Works
Most of us own a few "hardcover" or hardback books. If we examine them we can see that there are quite a few parts that go into the making of each book on our shelves. Some may seem a bit less sturdy than others, and this may be due to the method in which they are produced.
